Dr. Debbra O’Hara has been a teacher since she was sent from fifth grade to fourth grade to tutor students in reading as an elementary student. Since then, she has taught homeschool and at various levels in K-12 Christian schools, taught financial literacy to adults, and led workshops at teacher conferences. “God made me a teacher and gave me extraordinary opportunities and mentors to guide my way.” Dr. O’Hara has also been published several times in journals for Christian school educators.
With a passion for meeting the spiritual and educational needs of all students, Debbra has advocated for expanded services in private schools for students with learning differences. Her coursework and experience have prepared her to guide others in establishing and expanding programs that support teachers’ skill development, including work with special needs children.
Debbra earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and an Ed.S. in Education from Liberty University. She earned an MA in Special Education and a BS in Elementary Education and History at New Mexico State University. She holds Professional Lifetime Certificates in administration, special education, social studies, and language arts.
